ABOUT ME
Wendy Schwartz was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where she started her work in theatre. During her summers in high school, she worked as an assistant house manager for Zilker Theatre Productions in Austin. After graduation, Wendy continued her studies at the University of North Texas in 2021, and began majoring in Theatre in the General Studies concentration, because she does not want to be tied down to a single focus.
In the summer of 2022, Wendy found her way backstage as a deck crew member for Zilker’s Newsies, during which, she had to cover as assistant stage manager one week, for her first time. After this, she fell in love with stage management.
Through her time at UNT, Wendy has worked as an ASM for Fiddler on the Roof (Spring 2024), and Antigone (Fall 2023), and continued her work over the summer as an ASM for Zilker’s Legally Blonde the Musical (2024) and Matilda the Musical (2023). Currently, Wendy is working as Production Stage Manager for UNT’s Cabaret, after working as PSM for Anatomies the semester prior.

COSTUME EXPERIENCE
Aside from Stage Managing, Wendy has also worked in costumes as a Wardrobe Supervisor. As part of her work in the UNT Costume Shop, Wendy has also worked as Wardrobe Supervisor for American Idiot and the Spring Dance Concert in 2023.
